Aberdeen vs Hibernian kicked off at 12pm yesterday. I couldn't go to the game but did manage to catch the second half on TV. It was great see us play some really good attacking football and finally we have a strike partnership developing between Chris Maguire and Scott Vernon. They are looking the part and they both managed to get on the scoresheet yesterday. Sone Aluko looked really fit yesterday and was bombing up and down the left wing and managed to win us a penalty. I just hope that he keeps himself injury free as he is a very important player for us.
Our goals were scored by Chris Maguire, Sol Bamba, Scott Vernon and Paul Hartley (see picture above). Unfortunately we switched off towards the end and conceded two goals, which were scored by Colin Nish and Sol Bamba.
However this doesn't take anything away from the fact that it was a much improved performance and should give the lads a lot of confidence going into the important League Cup match against Falkirk on Tuesday night.
COME ON YOU REDS!

ReplyDeletesounds like a good game, I don't really watch soccer though
ReplyDeleteGood game. Some good action by both sides.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering.. do you guys have hooligans in your club?
ReplyDelete@Mr. Smith
ReplyDeleteWe used to have the fiercest hooligans in Scotland. However, the advent of CCTV and police that can actually organise themselves and are aware of what is going on has all but stamped out Hooliganism in Scotland.
I agree entirely.
ReplyDeleteI like to play soccer in real life but I've never kept up with professional games :3
ReplyDeleteTotally love the Reds
ReplyDeletethis is fierce stuff (Y)
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that soccer is so popular in the rest of the world but it never really took of in the U.S.?
ReplyDeleteIts cause there are a lot of distractions in the US
ReplyDeleteSone Aluko did look very fit
ReplyDeleteGood information and a nice game
ReplyDeleteawesomee post dude
ReplyDeleteGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!! :D
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Aberdeen! I am in the US by the way, and I love the SPL. Just a note, my favorite team is ICT, but I do like Aberdeen a lot as well. I mean they are two different classes of teams anyway (ICT being fledglings who are hopeful to just stay in the SPL and Aberdeen as contenders for EU spots).
ReplyDeleteAh someone who supports ICT. Good choice of team btw. They shared our stadium for a while a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteThey also beat us in our first meeting this season. :( 2-0 to ICT.
I hope that Aberdeen can get into Europe this year.
